My main research interest is now the understanding of pathophysiological mechanisms behind the neurotoxic effect exhibited by some chemicals and drugs, in order to  identify new therapeutic targets for clinical management. By using zebrafish as a vertebrate model, adverse effects are characterized from the molecular to the behavioral levels, and the altered pathways identified. Finally, potential therapeutic targets are used for performing directed screening of molecules with therapeutic value in the treatment of these pathologies (ORCID ID: orcid.org/0000-0001-5256-1641).
